windows start bar help

basically i updated my drivers for my video card nvidia 420 and basically i cant see the start bar or anything whats the reason for this could it be the screen resolution??

Sounds like it to me. Some video cards tend to change your resolution for you =P Hit your Windows key and access your control panel from there and adust the settings and see if that helps.
