Windows Server 2008 and Sophos
February 6th, 2020
In work ive set up a Server 2008. ive installed sophos console on there and that talks to active directory, When i right click a computer (or select a few) and go to protect them. it asks for detiles and off it goes.
Few seconds later it comes back with a error saying that the computer cant access the share on the network. The server is set to be a file server and there nothing blocking it. sometimes i can access it from another computer but not all the time
i got sophos to install on about 50 computers without problems. but not its coming back with the errors. Any ideas?
Check what user Sophos running as (check Task Manager) and make sure the rights are given to that user to access the network share
Edit: I misread your post. Nvm
windows server 2008 is a pain dude….like a month ago we had this new server that was ordered it had win server 2008 and we got tons of errors with quickbooks…we then downgraded to 2003 and it work fine..
