Windows keeps installing auto update

hi can any one help me i have a second computer and after a friend of mine cleaned up a bad vrus that i got in it all seamed ok until the next day when i started it up again it said update important security issues so i did and then it said reboot to install so i did but everytime i turn off and turn back on all the same again ………..installng important security issues, now i really dont want to turn them off but just to sort out this one big problem to me.
appreciate any suggestions i can get from the many tallented warez people
