Will the Sims 3 + Expansions packs work if..

Hello! I was wondering, Can i download the Sims 3 and use it for both Mac and PC? Im reading somewhere that the Sims 3 is a Hybrid game, that it works with both operating systems.
I have a Macbook pro, and would like to get the Sims 3 and its expansion packs for Mac. Perferably from a torrent because would not like to hassle with fileuploaders (I’m going to leave it downloading over night and i dont want to download the hang on the captcha window)

Haha thank you Robert But I was wondering If any copy is like that. Meaning if all the copies i download for Sims 3 are hybrids (meaning installed both on PC and Mac)
