Which Kaspersky?

December 1st, 2013

I used to use Norton Antivirus but I actually would get viruses and it wouldn’t even detect them… Then for the longest time I’ve been using NOD32 ESET Antivuris and I NEVER get any viruses anymore… But a few of my passwords have been changing lately, its probably nothing, but I’d like to get a new AV…

    Kaspersky Antivirus Security
    Kaspersky Internet Security
    Kaspersky PURE

Theres three different kinds… Which do I need? Do I need more than one?
It looks like NOD32, do I need to keep updating with username/pass/serials etc,.?
Answer #1
hi,i would recommend Pure.(Kaspersky Pure is the best Antivirus!)
Answer #2
I use KIS 2012, but I would also say go PURE. Lots of extra features, only reason I dont use it is cuz I JUST want an antivirus, nothing else.

Answer #4
Kaspersky pure.
Answer #5
I Personally use KIS.. Pure is the ultimate protection!!
Basically KIS or Pure would do the job that you want. Don’t go for Antivirus alone.
Answer #6
PURE is the best
Answer #7
i have been using KIS since years and havent had any probs [KIS + malwarebytes]
however, looking at the link posted by Uusitalo, pure looks the best!
Answer #8
Either Kaspersky Internet Security
or Kaspersky PURE
pure is internet security with more features that you might not need (Password Manager , backup and recovery etc) not related to the efficiency of the protection it self it just depends on if you want to use these extra features or not
for me i use Internet security because i don’t need PURE extra features.
Answer #9
All depends on what you need man. Nobody can tell you that.
Me personally, I don’t need an AV, never have; because I don’t download random stuff and open it.
IMO, everyone needs a good firewall, but everyone runs it on automatic anyway, which is pointless.
Just decide what you need, and choose the right product. Its personal preference.
I don’t want to spend all my time disabling my av because of false positives and experimental software but want 100% of control on which software gets to communicate with the internet and what software gets to accept incoming connections.
