Which is the better gaming laptop of the three?

May 24th, 2014

I’m looking to buy a new gaming laptop, but not trying to get too pricey with it. I’ve customized three laptops, one Alienware, one CyberPower and one Xotic PC. Below are the specs for each of them. Please let me know which would be better to play games on. (I’m not too familiar with the new graphics cards and processors, although I did a little research myself.)

Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 330UM (3M Cache, 1.2 GHz) – Overclockable
Video Card: 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 335M
Memory: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 800MHz
Hard Drive: 500GB SATAII 7,200RPM

Please go into as much detail as possible while keeping it simple. If there are any other specs I need to update on the list just let me know and I will gather it for you. Thanks in advance to all who take the time to review this and give me an expert opinion. Much appreciated.

Hm…they both are really nice… I’m a big fan of Alienware myself, so i personally would go with that.

Yeah, I’m leaning more towards the Alienware, but I just thought I’d get some second opinions. See what other people think since I’m not exactly up to date with all the new processors and video cards. I got lost in time with all of that lol.
Answer #3
I had an M11x for a while (the old Core 2 Duo version). It’s pretty good for an 11″ notebook. Those two laptops are pretty incomparable. One is portable and the other is dead weight.

Weight is not so much of an issue for me to be honest. Strictly on the comparison of a “gaming machine” which would you choose?
Answer #6
The second one is vastly superior.
Answer #7
What about that Razer gaming laptop that’s coming out? Have you checked that out?

From those two the CyberpowerPC one is a lot better. Also, check out other stuff from xoticpc[.]com
Answer #9
Ok, I’ve added another customized laptop from Xotic PC. Let me know how it compares to the other two and if its the better deal for a gaming laptop.
Answer #10
your probably got your choice to go from now, but don’t know what you think of this one

Actually I haven’t decided yet. Thanks for the other laptop input, but from the three provided which one would you prefer for gaming?
Answer #12
personally i like the alienware
Answer #13
Even though the CyberpowerPC one looks like a stellar deal I would be weary since they aren’t known for the best after sale service. Since there aren’t comparable notebooks on XoticPC I’d look around for one of these.

It’s got way better specs (including speakers by JBL) and is from a better company overall and is lighter and has better battery life due to Optimus.
Answer #14
I would go for the cyberpowerPC but check if you can choose for another harddrive one with 7200 rpm
Answer #15
Considering the graphic card , CyberpowerPC is better and surely good for gaming amongst the rest
Answer #16
Thanks for all the help guys. Is there any way someone could maybe customize a gaming laptop that would be better than the three I provided, but not exceed a price of $900? I would greatly appreciate that if someone would do that for me. I just don’t want to jump into something that I’m not too sure about and get ripped off.
Answer #17
Cyberpower IMO.
