I use PerfectDisk ………. I tried Diskeeper (good) and O&O but decided PerfectDisk was best for my PC.

Answer #13
I prefer Perfect Disk….
I tryed all the different defrag programs out there, and Perfect Disk is in my opinion the best….
Answer #14
I use Perfect Disk right now. I had used diskeeper and O&O before. Diskeeper is quite effective. O&O is very slow.
Answer #15
PerfectDisk look like O&O.
Diskeeper look like Disk Defragmenter – they look more professional.

So why you stopped using Diskeeper ?
Please don't double post. Use the Edit option when you want to add something. Also read the rules about bumping. Thank you. ~Chronus~

I don’t got the working crack at that time (before I join w-bb) so i change to O&O, After one of my Hard Drive died. I change to Perfect Disk.
Diskeeper is similar to Perfect Disk. But it’s hard to say which is better.
Answer #18
PerfectDIsk and O&O look like old defragment programs.
Answer #19

I agree with you mate ……… it’s a matter of choice.
Both can be set to manual defragmenting or automatic at a certain day/time and both can do Boot-time defragmentation of system files.
I have nothing against Diskeeper which is a well established defragmenter but I just prefer the look and feel of PerfectDisk ………. personal choice really …….. both do the job equally well.

Diskeeper is good and defragment fast.
Do you use automatic defragmentation ?
Answer #22
uh.. Windows default defrag program? you don’t really need any special software for better results as far as i know. never used any because i never had to, but according to what many say i’ve been hearing that PerfectDisk is quite good.
Answer #23
Is diskeeper support windows 98 ? And if not, what defragment programs support ?
Answer #24
In diskeeper 2008, if I turn off windows firewall, is it effective ?
Answer #25
Its all in your heads people, all they have is just a fancy GUI on top of M$ defragger. But i heard stories of how people who actually buy that program Diskeeper and then it replaced M$ one and it wouldnt defrag well mess up their whole OS and they didnt get refund. Seen several of those on google, who knows man. But i tell ya what, the one that comes with windows is the best!! dont change it or u risk causing issues you didnt have before!
Answer #26
I am using O&O Defrag currently. It’s quite a good defrag tool in my opinion. It’s clean, simple, and relatively light on resources. It does the job. I tried DK 2008 sometime ago, and my feeling was that it’s quite fancy and heavy on resources. So I prefer O&O. Well, it all depends on personal preferences.
When you defrag the thing that causes some nuisance, is that O&O Defrag needs to connect back [i.e. loopback] to the computer through net protocol. So the firewall will ask for the permission of such loopback.
I believe what happens in DiskKeeper is quite the same though.
Answer #27
lmao, I’ve always used windows defrag till I got ultimate defrag does the job quick and looks tight in a spiral
Answer #28
Is this what make my hard drive jump in 1 second ?

Answer #29
I prefer PerfectDisk. I use ti for about 2years. I dunno why they copied skin in the lattest ver almost the same as O&O…
Answer #30
Diskeeper has Invisitasking and IFaast. No other defragmentation software has anything that comes even close to either of those. For most it is a simple scheduling system for the equivalent of a manual defrag running at a lower priority.
Answer #31
Thanks
Answer #32
i use Diskeeper
however i can’t give a valid response as i have only used this
although the person who recommended this to me said it was better and i trust him
Answer #33

Answer #34
I use O&O Defragment. Good program. you can defragment using screen saver. Very Good.
Answer #35
Seriously….Diskeeper of course!
Answer #36
Epic bump, anyway Diskeeper 2010’s Intelliwrite does pretty much what ext3 etc. do so you’d be mad not to have it.
Answer #37
This thread helped me, I was having trouble deciding which to use. Not anymore
Answer #38
Well, good for you. I have trouble yet again. I was long time Diskeeper v8 user, however recently it say it cannot defrag bigger that 512MB HDDs. So I need to replace it with version that does support that…
Also I have no idea what to use to degragment a WinNT partition, preferably by booting from a CD on old Pentium 90MHz system. So, suggestions are welcome
