vista’s ISO
August 5th, 2016
I have just downloaded windows vista’s ISO.
Just to clarify, I’m new to this stuff.
I am wondering if I need to just burn the ISO to a DVD?
Then what?
If you could post a video or something that would be great!
Thanks,
burn iso to a blank dvd with imgburn…which can be found on here or free on google…
then put in your pc and booted and from there its gravy
Thanks buddy.
Much appreciated.
You also have to check the boot device priorities in your bios, and make sure your DVD drive is set to boot first.
What thread did you download from? This may have full instructions.
But generally you will have an ISO that you burn to a DVD, and also a serial number that you will enter once the install is completed.
Note this serial number now if you have one (If not you will need to remove WAT – you can do this afterwards, there are plenty of threads about this)
Back up any files you wish to keep, as a new install will remove all your files
(You may be lucky and be able to upgrade your installation)
Restart your PC with the DVD in the drive
Press any key to boot from CD
Follow the wizard.
Enter the serial / get an application that will remove WAT.
Fully functioning OS installed.
This is the link which I downloaded:

Moved from Off-Topic to Helpdesk.
Burn to DVD using software like UltraISO or Nero.
Insert DVD in drive and restart PC
When the system reboot, you should get a screen that say “press any key to boot from CD” so press any key
Then you will be given a series of options, these steps are set out in a wizard that is simple to follow, and may take anywhere between 10 minutes and an hour depending on your computers specs.
Once this has completed Vista should start, connect to the internet and download any driver you need
To find out what driver you need go to Start > Control Panel > System > Device Manager
anything that has a cross or exclamation mark needs drivers to work, right click these and select to upgrade drive.
Dont forget all your files and applications will be deleted from your system, so anything that you want to keep will need to be backed up before you begin.
