VHS to PC Capture Programs
January 28th, 2020
Well if he has a $1000 blueray burner, it probably comes with the necessary software !
Otherwise I would forget the bluerays …..I don’t think you need VHS to Blueray
The tuner should come with instructions and software to allows capture of TV and your VHS input
Nero suite has plenty of capture stuff also Windows movie maker should do it..
Also Pinnacle Studio
Google for…vhs to pc capture
First, your cature card should allow you to plug in a VCR to your PC
Once done, just use Windows movie maker and capture the video. It works like a webcam
Click capture video and start/play the video and it should start to capture!
Remember to adjust your settings so that the video device is your Cature card
This is also a very long process as you have to wait til the movie finishes in real-time!
Hope this helps!
blue-ray
so price is no object
get a stand alone blue-ray recorder
or a stand alone DVD recorder
those would be your best quality if component inputs are available (some high end VHS’s have them) for the PC
WinVDR for AVI (divx/xvid) recording
Mainconcept PVR for MPEG recording
Windows movie maker
to me this is the worst recording app ever !
hard to work with the files it outputs
