sure you can upgrade. i upgraded from 7100 x86 to 7229 x86 just the other day with no problems. you don’t even need to boot to the disk. just run setup while you’re in windows, and choose Upgrade. it takes about an hour, but it works fine, and all your settings and programs will be preserved..
Answer #5
Yeah thought so, was pretty sure people did this all the time lol. Cool will give it a try, will I need to do anything to the ISO or do I just burn and choose upgrade? note I have 7 and vista dual booted. Thanks!
Answer #6
Oh yes you can
Answer #7
Would be annoying to have to do a clean install.. Though you can’t upgrade from beta to RC (But that’s not relevant anyway)

You don’t boot from the dvd to upgrade. Just pop in the dvd while in Windows and it’ll autorun
