To do, or not to do? Jailbreaking the iPhone

January 23rd, 2020

So I just got an iPhone (3GS), and I want to jailbreak it, but what are the consequences if I do?
I’m assuming that will break the warranty on it, right?
Any other reasons NOT to jail break it?
Good idea? Bad Idea? Worth the risk?

Answer #1
Definately worth the risk. Little can go wrong, and as a reward you can download all the apps for free.
Answer #2
what about warranty?
Answer #3
Your warranty is fine, even if you jailbreak it.
Well, if you ever have to send it into apple to get it fixed, just plug it in, run itunes, and restore it to factory settings. That will get rid of the jailbreak.
Answer #4
IMO, I’d never buy an iTouch to NOT Jailbreak it. Jailbreaking it = So completely worth the money in every way.

Jailbreaking a 3G[S] is a pain in the ass due to it being tethered.
Answer #8
I think it’s definately worth doing!
Apps vastly outweighs the risk!
I have an iPod touch (easy to jailbreak I know) and it’s so much more versatile when jailbroken.
Still, it’s your call!
Answer #9
I thought the reason for getting an iPod was to jailbreak it.
All you have to do is press a button.
