Jailbreaking iphone 3gs

December 23rd, 2013

is there a way of jailbreaking without having the need to put your iphone into the mod mode? my sleep button doesn’t work, i rely on autolock to lock my iphone and i haven’t turned my iphone off in about 6 months because it’s broken.. is there a way to jailbreak it without the need to do this? i can turn it off – it’s a nightmare but i can.. can anybody help?

On safari go to jailbreakme.com or jailbreak.me. It will jailbreak your device without putting it in DFU mode or anything.
You may need to research more as the site was sold to someone else, but is has been said that its still working.

What firmware you have?
(Go to Settings –> General –> About and look under VERSION)

Domain WAS sold to some dude, and after few days of negotiation, he sold it to SAURIK (Cydia founder/owner and developer), so everything is great now, and it’s secured for good!

it’s just sitting there in the DFU mode, doesn’t respond to anything.. i’ll restore it via itunes legitimately, then try the safari method.. if that doesn’t work then it seems my iphone is non-jailbreak-able

It’s obvious that you suc when it comes to jailbreaking etc…
Every iDevice CAN be jailbroken, it only matter what FW has installed…
So, you need to tell me what FW you have, and I will tell you what tool to use to jailbreak it. JailbreakMe 3.0 is ONLY for 4.3.3 FW!
So, iPhone CAN’T be bricked, if it’s in DFU can be recovered from it (exit) etc…

i used to jailbreak my ipod touch when they first came out, then they introduced the apps and what have you. purchased an iphone about 6 months ago and discovered they’re still doing it..
currently i’m running 4.2.1, since my power button is broke, i can’t manually put my phone into DFU mode

For 4.2.1 FW you can use Greenpois0n or redsn0w 0.9.6rc8

those two require you to manually put your iphone into DFU mode, which, makes my iphone non-jailbreak-able. at least until i get the case fixed
if i was able to skip the DFU stage on them, it would work
