Time & Date Resets

My Computer’s Time & Date keeps reseting everythime i log on, i googled and it seems that i need a new battery, my question, what type of battery do i need, and where is it located in my base unit, i dont want to open my base unit and then mess it up, i need help finding which battery i need, thanks

Go into BIOS and set the time there

Yea…You definitely need a new battery…No idea what that type of battery is called…But it’s a standard CMOS battery…There nothing that Google can’t dig out…

if your battery is empty, you will still have to open the cover of your
pc to fit a new one, the battery should be on the motherboard,
(could be in a slot) but you should see it. its a round flat battery about 1 inch in diamater, silver colour, just pull it out, and take it to
the pc shop to get the same one.

most tend to be CR 2032 lithium coin cells 3v and just clip in to holder tell us your mother board or pc make and model

take the battery off and go to a shop selling battery and ask them if they have that kind of model
