I have a Gateway NV52 and it doesn’t starts up until I unplug and plug it back in and turn it on and repeat this process like 30 times. All it does it give me a beep (indicating its turning on) and I have a black screen but the laptop is running. After 15 attempts, the Gateway logos appear but still shuts off. After 30 attempts it works. Leaving it on constantly there is no problem with it. I have change the hard drive and the battery is not in its bay (Not even using a bettery just a AC Plug).
Any idea whats wrong with it?

Very strange indeed
You should try running memtest, hd tune to check hard drives health
And also stress test it with furmark and intel burn test to see which components are the culprit for these issues

I have used the following program memtest86, and pcpitstop. I have a new hard drive in it.
