The Sims 3 question

Hey I’m just wondering how do you get married or propose in the sims 3? I have a romantic interest that lives with me and we have had 2 children already, but I don’t get an option to propose or get married, one of the two. Any advice will be appreciated.

I subscribe to your question . I am also interested in an issue with the bike. Anyone managed to ride it across the town. I can’t make it. Please somebody tell me how to ride the bike. Thanks.

Marriage; If your relationship is high enough you can “Get Married” from the romance social tree, once the pair is engaged you can either throw a wedding party or have a private wedding.
Bike; Buy a bike and a rack to put the bike in, when your sim needs to go to work you can cancel the carpool when it arrives, go to the career panel and select the “Go to work” button which is just to the left of the amount you earn and your hours you work. Your sim SHOULD ride the bike to work. It also should automatically choose the bike when going around town. If you have a car however your sim will favour the car.

EDIT: When you’re in live mode drag the bike into your sims inventory. That bike will go where they go.

You were right about the carpool but when I only have the bike i get no available actions at all from it. The curious thing is that when I also have the car I only get the action to establish the owner for the bike (there’s no chance for going around town) while in the car all the actions are available. Any tips?

Hmm, I really have no idea. When I place the bike in their inventory and don’t have a car they tend to choose the bike over a cab. They usually ride it when it’s not in their inventory too.

I can’t seem to get this working for me…I’ve had 4 bleeding kids now, and my relationship is constantly at max, yet I never get an option to marry or anything like that…the only thing I ever see is asking if they want to stay the night or something…no marriage.
Any ideas?

What’s the percentage of the love between the couple?
It probably has a certain percentage that has to be achieved before proposing.
