[SOLVED]Windows Media Player problem
January 25th, 2020
Few days ago I was sorting out my music files and folders.
I decided to add additional information to some songs and albums, like year of release, genre etc. as well as adding the right cover art for every song. I was doing all this with Windows Media Player advanced tag editor.
I have done this for around 10 albums.
Than, I played them with Winamp and everything looked perfect…every song had the cover and all the info was there.
But, the problem appeared when I wanted to burn the CD with Nero.
Those albums couldn’t be burned.
I checked the songs (those that I updated with additional info) and find out that every song is now (after I attached the right cover and info) bigger…example: before 7MB, after 7.12MB.
What should I do now?
I know that Windows Media Player is finding the covers on it’s own, but as far as I know…it doesn’t change the size of the song.
But, if you do it automatically it appears that the size of the song becomes bigger and the song can’t be burned.
Can anyone explain?
Does this mean that I need to delete those albums and songs where I putted the cover manually and then download them again? And what with the other music that I have…will Windows Media Player make mess with them or what?
Please help!
You might have changed the file format by chance. Take a look
I use Itunes to add album art and info and have never had a problem. Windows Media Player is useless in my opinion.
What I usually do with Windows Media Player is turn off the option where it automatically finds album info and pictures. I do it manually with mp3tag. This doesn’t make any of the songs a bigger size. Website:
