[solved] windows media player vista problems

I downloaded a music video from youtube and cannot get it to work. I downloaded the codec needed to play the video, and now everytime I open it, it says windows media player has a problem and needs to close. I am in the process of downloading newlyweds and it is going good until I got to one episode I cannot get to play. Everytime I open the folder that I have this video in, I get a popup saying that COM Surrogate has a problem and needs to close. does anybody know what I can do to fix this?
