Assassin's Creed 3 Combat
What it lacks in difficulty, it makes up for in style.

Assassins Creed 3 was released yesterday and we thought it was amazing. From the story line down to the homestead feature. Assassins Creed 3 will take you back in time into the one of the world most important periods.
Probably my absolute favorite aspect of Assassins Creed 3 has to be the combat system. It's pretty straight forward. One button for attack, one button for block and one button for disarm. When an enemy is about to strike, a flashing red indicator will appear over his head, prompting you to press the block button. Some tougher enemies will block every single strike you blow, no matter what. Got me to thinking that there are tougher enemies in the game. However, this can be easily countered by pressing the disarm button and then attacking him. The system is pretty easy, I found myself charging at dozens of redcoats and taking them on head to head. That's how comfortable I was with the combat system. What Assassins Creed 3's combat system lacked in difficulty, it made up for in style. You will hardly see the same combos twice to wreak havoc on my foes.. For example, if your attacking an NPC, and another comes from behind you with a flashing indicator, as soon as hit block, Connor will throw his weapon over his shoulder and block it. When that happens, Ubisoft slows down time and adds some effects on the screen giving you a better look at how Connor deflected the attack.
If two enemies are about to strike at the same time, and you block it correctly, you'll trigger a really cool animation where Connor goes all out on them. Linking the two attacks into one massive jaw dropping sequence.
Each weapon in Assassins Creed 3 has its own combos and moves. Depending on what your holding, Connor will strike with deadly force each in its own style. Basically, you won't see the same dive roll you do when your wielding the tomahawk then when you have the hidden blades equipped. Whether it's the tomahawk, long sword, hidden blades, dagger or a stone ax. Even Connor's fists fare pretty well against a dozen enemies.
