[SOLVED] Rapidshare account hacked

I think that my RS account has been hacked… All my files (200 GB) are gone, even though all the links I have posted here are still active! Does it mean that the stupid mother****er who hacked my account is benefiting from all my uploads now? Is there a way to get the files back?
Any advice and help would be very appreciated.

Email rs and if you still can login to your account go to a friends house and change your pass,email and stuff.Don’t do it at hm because probably you got some keylogger or something like that
Next step is to scan your pc

I’ve send e-mail to RS support as suggested. Let’s hope they can do something about it. I’ve already changed mail, login and pass from work. I’m afraid that my problems might have sth to do with the infected video files as described here: http://www.google.com?t=2538913 BTW i’ve found a suspicious IP in my log file that used my rapid poins to create a new account. Do you think that was the MFing thief?

Yes if someone with another IP other than your own shows up with redeeming a new account then thats the person that has hacked you.
So email RS there ip address aswell and try to get this person destroyed!

i’d a similar problem 2weeks ago. account was hacked.
RS were very helpful when i contacted them and sorted it out very quickly.
however i had an immense amount of files uploaded for a thread i was starting and unfortunately the hacker deleted every single one of them.
RS couldn’t restore them. BUmmer!
You’ll get your account back ok but the files could be gone indefinately.

If the links still work, then they were not deleted. So RS only has to move the files back to your account and close all the thiefs accounts created with your points.
Sometimes the thief cheekily sends fake RS emails to you saying that you are being investigated for copyright breaches and that your account has been closed in order to try and prevent you getting your account back. They hope it will put the crap up you so much that you will not attempt to reclaim everything stolen.
Keep your account LOCKED at all times. It is there to prevent such things from happening. You only have yourselves to blame it you leave it unlocked! Delete any unlock emails after making a note of the unlock code somewhere such as Keepass or a piece of paper.

Thank you lads very much for all your help.
I had some problems with confirming my account to RS (I bought it via a reseller) but once I did they restored all my files as well as premium points. For all people with similar problems: do not hesitate to contact RS. I was very surprised how helpful they were… But above all I’ll never forget to lock my account again.
