[Solved] Hotspot shield VPN

After installing the free version of that VPN, I created an account on 4shared and uploaded a file via the browser.
It turns out 4shared still displays my country’s flag and name when whatismyip.com shows the VPN’s IP address of another country.
It would seem that 4shared successfully logs my real IP address.
Am I doing something wrong or is the free version of the VPN not reliable?

Try clearing your cookies for the site and see if that changes anything
