[solved] Format hard disk WITHOUT reinstalling windows

Hi,
I basically want to format my hard disk but I don’t want Windows on it.
If there’s a program that can mimic a boot disk then I can boot from DOS, please help.
Help would be appreciated….

mate not sure if I understand. The only way to format a HD is to wipe it clean and after that it is obvious that windows needs to be reinstalled as there is nothing on it!. You cant just format PART of a HD a format wipes everything

No mate it isnt sorry, Only way is to backup with something like nortons ghost and reload the backup image after format. BUT you then get everything that was on there before the format. It inst possible buddy

Of course it is all u need is a bootable dos floppy or cd then run FDISK and delete all partitions dont know why u want to do this but remember the data will still br recoverable with file recovery progs

ye im gonna buy a one of those cases that from the hard drive to usb i think ill be able to format – its pretty cheap im not losing much
