[SOLVED] Acronis True Image to New Solid State Drive

Current config: example only
180GB SSD is broken out as follows:
1) C Drive 120GB SSD winows 7 install only
2) D Drive 47GB SSD “data only”
Cyber Monday I got a good deal on a 120G SSD that I want to have
just my WIndows 7 install on this SSD. (faster ssd)
What I want to accomplish:
1) new 120BG SSD on C Drive and Windows install from a Acronis True
Image backup
2) older 180GB SSD is data only for the entire hard drive. (right now, has
2 partitions, a-Windows install, b-data partition
My question.
1) can a Acronis True Image prior OS go on a new SSD without formatting?
I think the answer is No, I have to format.
2) after I setup the OS to new 120GB SSD, what is best method
to format the older 180GB SSD to wipe it clean? This has the old OS on it.
If I add to the system will I get error that I have 2 windows installs before
I get to reformat the 180?
3) I also thought of taking both the 120 and 180GB to my older
system and just format both of them at one time. That way, it would be
much cleaner on my current system. (I dont care about the older system
if it would have conflicts)
So in the end, 1) 120GB OS only, 2)180GB data only. What is best process
with my setup ?

It works fine. I’ve done tons of OS restores to my SSD. After restoring to the new SSD copy everything you need from the old one and just format it as usual. Make sure to do a quick format. Make sure it’s connected to the same controller as your old SSD or there might be complications.
Oh and if you could cut the green font it’s really not necessary.

are you saying I could use bootable Acronics media (image included)
and not format a new ssd?
what is wrong with my Green, you not in the holiday spirit!!
