[solved] a few questions about uploading files.
January 30th, 2020
1. Once your files die, they get deleted from your account, so you just re-upload them how you uploaded them first, like a fresh file. Don’t forget to edit your posts and put in the newly generated link.
2. It’s recommended that you keep the files on your PC so that you can reupload them once they die. Once the upload gets obsolete then you can delete it from your system.
3. For fileserve, stick to the standard website. Don’t trust third party upload programs.
Ok thanks for your reply. I’ll go and buy a new HDD then so I can store all my files on what I upload. I was planning on deleting them after uploading thats why I asked.
Any other answers are welcome.
im not really sure about fileserve but if they have a remote uploading service then you can just upload the files. then remote upload them. (uploading new files from the ones already on the server) keep those at backups and each time the links dies just remote uplaod them. (this way you dont need to keep them on your computer. but files can always become corrupt so its really up to you how you do it.
first of, i have many movies, music etc i want to upload but not sure how it all works. 1- i have a free fileserve account which i'll be uploading to but how do i re-upload the files once they die? 2- can you delete the files once uploading them or have you got to keep the files on your pc to upload again if the links die? 3- any good programs to use to upload or should i stick with the standard website? that's all for now, thanks
1. just upload them again once they die, they will be in the account again
2. yes you can, from the my files menu, you can select and delete files
3. use ftp:// uploading or through the website itself
Thanks, i’ll try the FTP and hope it all goes well!
Yep, FTP is great for uploading, i use it for HF/FS/MS and had no problems so far. Filezilla is awesome for that.
