January 20th, 2020

Okay so should I sell or remove my gpu from my pc? I don’t game on my desktop anymore and when I do game I play games that don’t require that much gpu. I think my intel i5 4590s has good enough graphics so do you think I should remove my gpu and put it back in the box or sell it or just keep it in my pc? I haven’t play games for like 2 yrs so the gpu that I have is just sitting in my computer being useless because I don’t even use it.

A second hand GPU 2 years old, + maybe even been out for a year or two from then (You havnt stated enough info really..), you will get peanuts for. Keep it how it is. Your CPU doesnt act as a GPU as well. Your motherboard may have an inbuilt graphics card/integrated graphics chip though??

Your CPU doesnt act as a GPU as well.
Not even close to being correct.

How do you plug your GPU into the cpu??? Noticed if your motherboard doesnt have an onboard video card you have no where to plug the cords in…
Or feel free to enlighten me plz??

What kind of GPU are you talking about?
What’s the make and the model of it?
A GPU is not just required for gaming, it’s also essential to have a dedicated GPU for viewing STREAMS (YouTube/NetFlix/HULU/etc….) in it’s finest of quality.
Plus a good balanced GPU and CPU together can improve app and webpage loading times…. I could go on and on on what other advantages a independent GPU provide other than gaming.
So my answer to you is…. no! don’t sell it or take it out of your machine.

Intel HD Graphics is a series of Intel's integrated graphics processors (IGPs) introduced in 2010 that are manufactured on the same package or die as the central processing unit (CPU).

And of course they use the on board connectors for the monitor..

Considering that computer graphics involves calculations and a CPU makes calculations, nothing forbids the processor to do graphic calculations. You can use a CPU to do the GPU tasks. There are optimizations of the GPU for certain tasks that render it the ideal device for most graphical calculations and mathematical models employed in cryptography and finance.
The CPU can act as a GPU and did it for decades.

We as usual choose to answer his endless questions, if we all stayed quiet, he would be running his own circle.
