Samsung Tab 4 password to lock/unlock

hi all,
one of my friends had same Samsung Tab 4 as my cute daughter had, his child accidentally place a password or pin to lock/unlock it and forgot what was it… is there any chance to remove this password like: run from PC to do this or any other, please help.

for me if i enter the password wrong to many times it will ask me to enter my old pin.
Maybe you have that setup. Other then maybe enter in as many guesses you can to try to get in or factory reset it.
Factory reset should save all the items saved on the device but you need to customise it again.
