How are you connecting it?
Your Connecting it over LAN right?
If so, Windows 7 go to Control Panel, Choose Network and Sharing Center. Then Top Left Choose Advanced sharing Settings.
Then Choose : Turn on network Discovery, Turn on File and Printer Sharing, Turn on Sharing so anyone with network acces …… and Allow Windows to mage homeGroup Connections.
ONce you’ve done this. In the sAme area Click on Choose Media Steaming Options and you should see your TV show Up, Click the drop down Menu and go Allow.
If that doesn’t work, You could also have a problem were by a AntiVirus or firewall is Blocking the Connection. I had that with ESET lol.
Then when you want to share Certain Forlders. Just Right Click the folder in Windows 7 and go to Share, There is a option for HomeGroup Choose it

What files are you trying to play? Some video formats are sometimes not supportive. I had a few MKV 1080p files my tv didn’t like but the rest played fine. Try a file you know it will play if it doesn’t work then I will look into it more for you
