Hi guys im trying to connect my Samsung GT I8190 to my computer to transfer photos to it! It wouldnt allow to simply transfer photos on my pc to the phones photo folder saying that I would have to covert them first! Meanwhile, my phone is failing to install my phone, displaying the following error “windows needs to install driver software for your CDC Serial” Its prompts me then to tell the computer to find the driver software automatically as well as manally, when i choose automatically, it tell me to enter “the disc that came with your CDC Serial”. After some googling I found out that if I install Samsung Kies Software but that is failing on install! Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on? …Im running Vista 32bit

Instead of the full Kies Software package try just the USB drivers to see if that’ll give you access:

Make sure you are using the latest KIES – there is also a lite version. I would avoid Vista if I were you.

Kies is such a piece of crap. But sometimes a necessity. GRRRRRR I hope the one from works for ya
