Will This One Work Properly If Coupled With Kingston 2 GB DDR3 1333 240 Pin ?
best option is to have same exact ram. if i were you i’d buy 2 new ones and sell the old one, even if it means for half price.
Moved from Off-Topic to Helpdesk.
I’d prefer you to get the exact ram if available at your retailer. I’d do that before selling the RAM at half price for nothing
Will It Do, If I Get The Exact Same RAM But Didnt Sell The Earlier ? SO, I Have Then 4 GB DDR3, Will I Get Good Performance ?
they’ll still work but sometimes you won’t get them running in dual channel for a slight performance increase. Some like to work with each other, some don’t. You may also need to flash your bios to the latest if you’re getting booting errors
So, The Best Option Is To Get 2 New RAMs And Say GoodBye To The Old One, Right ? About The BIOS, The Drivers Would Be Available On Intel Website.
1 More Thing, What Would Give More Performance, 2 x 2 GB DDR3 or 1 Single Chip 4 GB DDR3 ? And Why ?
Just Coz, I’ve To Get 4 GB New RAM, So I Asked.
If you can get a 4GB RAM stick. It will run much faster because the comp don’t have to detect two RAM sticks and transfer data to them and then store data which data was sent to which RAM stick. With one 4GB stick it can simply transfer all the data into one stick.
But it would be much more expensive.

If you do ecxtreme gaming and video editing or animation and if you have a desktop of very high config. , then only go for the 8GB stick. Otherwise opt for the 4GB stick.
You can upgrade to 8GB later if you need it.
