R4 3DS Game Help

I bought an R4 3DS card, I downloaded the kernel from here:

I made a game folder in the same locations as the moonmemo, moonshl2. R4.dat directory, put the lgc-mk7.3ds (mario kart 7) game in, but no joy. when I turn on the 3DS, it does not find the game.
On a wesbsite it said it had to be a .nds file name, I tried renaming it to a .nds but sill no joy.
I read that there is no way to play 3DS games at the minute, but if som why are there 3DS games up here and other sites, and why is the card called “RD 3DS”.
Lets hope the good community at WBB can help me out!

You can only play DS games with that flash card, there is no way yet to play 3DS games

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it. But the card I bought is R4 3DS, does that mean when they do crack it, I can use this card to play them? i was under the impression that this card was the one I needed.
Also, I am having trouble finding a working link to play the latest Prof Layton and the spectres call.
So DS and DSi games will work fine. Gotcha.

It’s called that way because the card works on the 3DS.. (for DS games)
It very unlikely that it will be able to play 3ds roms in the future.
Keep your eyes open for new cards. Crown3DS looks like they will be the card to watch atm.

Thanks for your reply, it is much appreciated. Could you help locate: Prof Laytn and the Spectres call or/and Prof Layton and the last spectre? I cannot seem to find a working link here, or perhaps you know of a good site to get them (DSi or DS) to put on my 3DS card for the 3DS!

The Game (Professor Layton and the Last Specter) has an Anti Piracy protection that prevents you from passing the first Clue, the rom needs to be patched for it to work.

Hi haha i got your pm but yeah everything to be said already has been, 3DS roms aren’t playable yet, crown3ds (or maybe gold3ds, which i personally think is fake) seem the closest to the real thing on the internet atm.. and yeah :\ wish i could help more
