Question about the “no something months”

So I came to know about “No-shave November”, “No-fap december”, and people are talking about “No-smoking January” as a new year’s resolution.
But who decides this things, and what are they? Tried to Google about this but can’t find much about it.
And by the way, where can I know about the other “no-something months” prepared for 2012?
