question about FRAPS

hey i was wondering, does my processor need to be dual-core or better for me to use fraps with a decent frame rate?
Because i see people with ge force 7600GT’s using fraps and they honestly look so good. (im not yet got a 7600gt but i got a radeon 9250 (ati) ) they look very good when recording with fraps. im just wondering, if i had a 7600GT with a p4 2.4 ghz and 1 gb ddr400/pc3200 ram would the frames be good in fraps or would i need to upgrade my processor chip? (im not looking into getting a new motherboard)

It doesn’t need to be, but it would seriously help. It still takes much frames away even with my system specs.
