Quad Core AMD Phenom

I was thinking of making a new amd pc. I build a little intel atom but its not good for ripping and encoding.
Would this be good for ripping and encoding movies

they arent bad.. i have the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T(3.2GHz) on a Asus M4N98TD-EVO motherboard.. i got that board for when i get another GTX460
Why would you want a board with just DDR2 ram ? i can buy DDR3 cheaper than DDR2

I have the Phenom II x4 955 BE, a great processor but if you want your temps low the stock cooler is crap.
I also suggest you DDR3 ram..

Buy Phenom II x4 965 BE, the best processor in the world IMO (I have it) Very Happy And DDR3 ram, otherwise it wont just do the job..

Correct. I payed a kool �135 for the same processor.
