Answer #1
QUUUADDDDD!!!!
Answer #2
The i3, by a mile. It’s fairly even in multi-threaded applications and it’s higher single threaded speed will give you a definite edge in most applications. Not to mention the Q8400 is a nightmare to overclock because of the low multiplier. For gaming, without doubt the i3 540
Answer #3
Yep an i3, its more efficient per watt, even though its heavily butchered.
Answer #4
So i3 is Better than Quad???
Will Be It Safe for gaming????

So ur Recommendation is to go for i3…
It`ll be Gud if i buy i3 because i can upgrade it to i5 or i7 easily..
But if i buy Quad n will gonna upgrade it to i5 or i7 i must change my motherboard n RAM… Beacuse Core Series Boards n RAM are Different..
Ryt Mate??

Nope, you can upgrade to an i5 or the butchered versions of i7 you can go with i3.
Upgrading isn’t ideal.
Intel has 3 sockets (LGA 775, 1156, 1366), LGA 775 is obsolete.
AMD (AM2+, AM3), AM2+ is obsolete.
Real value players buy AMD AM3 or just get a i7 900 series.
Upgrading in the Intel fan-boys is just a dead end, hardly any bios updates and frequent socket transitions.
AM3+ chips could be used in AM3 sockets, while Intel fan-boys will have to resort to a new motherboard as well.

Lol only an AMD fanboy would say any of those. Even AM3+ is dead. Bulldozer will NOT work in AM3+ . I can’t be bothered to explain. Those so called ‘butchered’ versions of i7 only lacks triple channel memory. It’s still faster than ANY of AMDs current offerings and is ONLY slower than an x58 i7 in synthetic benchmarks such as Everest’s memory benchmark. There is NO real world difference. None. Zilch. And fwiw my I’ve updated my BIOS not short of 20 times since I’ve got my R3E

i3 would put you on a much better platform to see your PC into the future.
The quad core LGA 775 is a past platform now.

One year and 5 day old post.
I don’t understand why people waste their time digging up old posts by banned members.
It was a stupid poll to begin with.
