PS2 says game is a DVD Movie

I recently downloaded a PS2 game iso from one of the torrent sites. I burned it to a blank DVD-R using ImgBurn. When I play it on the PS2, my PS2 says that it cannot read the disc. So, I browse the disc on the PS2 itself and the PS2 says it is a DVD Movie. It definitely is not a PS2 movie because it works well I use the PCSX2 emulator on my PC. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?
I have a slim PS2. I also tried to burn the ISO using Roxio Creator 2012 with the same results.

Has the PS2 been modded to play burnt disks?

Yes, it’s been modded. And I’ve been playing a burned disc just recently. However, this is my first time to burn such an ISO file.
Edit: burned it to disc at 4x instead of 16x.

I don’t understand how it can work on the PCSX2 emulator but not when I burn it to disc.

Somebody said that the ISO may have been ESR patched. I downloaded ESR patcher and checked. It wasn’t patched. I patched it. Still doesn’t work.

Open the image using Daemon Tools or something like Ultra Iso or Power Iso.
If there is a Video_TS and a Audio_TS, its been ESR patched or Memento 32 patched.
Otherwise it might need a rebuild from SonyDVDgenerator.
