Proxy options

August 8th, 2016

There are, as we know, many proxy programs and that endless lists of open proxies are readily available, which the vast majority do not work. On the free side, for very limited use, any recommendations? Just google a list and try till one works or download a program from here? Some other alternative I am not considering. I consider none of the above truly anonymous, rather a step toward obfuscation.

I use Private Internet Access. It’s not free, costs $40 per year, comes out to about $3 per month, but it’s worth every penny. It’s fast, secure, and works with torrents too. https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/
A really good free web based proxy is Proxy.de. http://www.1proxy.de/

I don’t waste my time with proxy..this gives you access to a site at best, never mind security tho, you have none, so why bother.
I only use a a vpn service, I tried the service mentioned above and does work ok, but I prefer the vpn service I currently use. Ask me if want further information.
Answer #4
i also agree with vpn is better , proxy may need tweaking per application. vpn also gives you https protocol.
Answer #5
thank you all for the advise. I suppose the web based option is best for me since I would use it so rarely, otherwise the paid vpn would most definitely be my choice. the problem with the web based option in my experience will only request the single link, anything else is direct to your ip.
I consider this solved.
@ that link is quite expansive. thank you.
