problems with my wireless internet

August 6th, 2016

ok for the last few months my download speeds have gone down considerably. my internet package is 15mbps. ive done a speedtest and my download is 23mbps and upload is .98nbps. i initially thought it was maybe my modem so i called time warner and they checked it out and told me nothing was wrong with it so i assumed its my router. i bought a highly recommended netgear router from best buy today and installed it and nothing has changed. if i try and download a movie thats 700mb using rapidgator it takes me an hour and a half. at my mothers house it takes me 15 mins. i dont know what else it could be and like i said this has only been happening for about 5 months. Thank you in advance.

Routers last long time. Mine for example last 15 years and counting. Check your ISP. Maybe capping you upload / download speeds. Idk, but likely the case. Just a side note, you don’t always get what you pay for.
Answer #8
Could your isp be throttling your connection at the time you are downloading,I have to d/load between midnight and mid afternoon after then its hopeless.
Answer #9
This problem is strange , speedtest says its 30 mbps right? Try using IDM see what happens.
