i have a ps3 on sony firemware 3.60 is there any way to downgrade it to 3.55 or is there another way to play pirated games on it with 3.60
oh btw i’m pretty new to ps3 hacking , so make the help noob friendly

you need to use a NAND/NOR flasher to play pirated games (there not hacked .
this will flash the console down to the right firmware (3.55).
what is it ? some sort of usb stick ? or can i just download some software and put in on any usb stick to flash it ..?

The “PS Downgrade is not a new chip, but it is the much anticipated software update to the original PSJailbreak chip. The update will be available for customers who have a valid serial, of the original PSJailbreak chip.”
How it works is that you order the software and download it to your PC. You connect the original PS3 Jailbreak to your PC and update it.
You can then use it to downgrade your PS3′s firmware. However, note that it is one-time only. Meaning you cannot use it downgrade your PS3 firmware more than once.
The PS3 downgrade does not modify your PS3 and you can update to the latest firmware anytime.
so this means i can’t downgrade it without buying hardware ?
you know i never knew that method, i only thought you could do it via a NAND/NOR flasher.

ok…so there no way i can downgrade my ps3 without buying hardware …
nay im afraid not. you can wait until Kakaroto releases his jailbreak. maybe then somebody will modify it to allow backup managers to work.
and what will be my best option for now ?
and let’s say i’m on 4.0 can i downgrade from there or do i still need hardware ?

yeah i wouldnt trust it lol.
your best option would be to buy the correct hardware needed.
i also updated when i shouldnt have but luckily i got 100 games for free
