Ping way to high

guys i really need some advice. I just tested my speed on speedtest.net and my ping came back as 1136! I have never seen it that high any one have any idea on how i might lower it?

note that online speed tests are affected by load on the connection being tested, so if (for instance) someone on another computer was downloading something/watching stuff on youtube it would affect the ping and speed

Go on dslreports and do some of the line tests. (Packet loss etc)
Also call your ISP, they may be lots of interference on your lines.

Speaking of the ping problems, on CSS ( Counter Strike Source ) my ping is always high except for 3 servers so is there a way to lower it to get to play on other servers?
