PC auto restarting?

My pc is fairly old, around 6-7 year mark. OS i believe is XP sp1. i cannot update past this cause it freezes my pc when it boots up for some reason
The issue here is when using Neuview Media Player. Sometimes when i close the player, my pc will auto restart. Sometimes when i close the player an error recors and asks whether i want to recover. I press yes or no and close it agian it still restarts. PC restarting after closing a player does not apply to any other video player

Do you have Blue Screen of Death enabled (BSoD)?
Click Start > Right click my Computer > Properties > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery > Select settings > Make sure automatically restart is NOT ticked.
Now instead of the auto-restart you should get a blue screen with white writing. Towards the bottom should be an indented error code. Usually it’s either a driver name (a file ending with .sys or a number like 0x845833). If you can write that down and put it here we should be able to offer more help.

I would update to all the newest service packs of XP to. Your leaving yourslef wide open there for all sort of nasty things to happen
