paypal account

Hi, im 16 and need to get a paypal account, but when i go to the sign up page it asks for details like address and home phone number
my parents dont really need to know about the account and i dont want phonecalls or letters from paypal, so can i just put some crap in there and it wont matter? also did you use your real name?
also do i need to verify with a credit card, thats what i heard from someone, if so what do i do there
I dont need it to be connected to a bank account because i’ll just using that money for online stuff

You don’t need a credit card or bank account. You will only need those if you want your account verified, I.E. have alot of money and buy off most sites. But if you fill out fake names and stuff It will work but you will have trouble when people to try sending you stuff or confirming its you lol.

You need to use real details otherwise your money is rendered useless if they find out youve frauded them (infact theyll fine you)
but you can tell them to only contact you by email i think, ive never had a letter or phone call from them and im 16.
you can verify with a paypal account which takes off some payment amount limits, but i havent done that either.

Well if you buy something online that needs to be physically shipped, most likely will be sent to your faked paypal address.

Wow, I didnt know that about the fraud but I learn something everyday lol. But they haven’t called me either so don’t frett. But the thing is my parents allow me to have one.
