Partition Won’t Show In Windows Explorer

August 5th, 2016

Hi!
I really need your help guys..
here’s my story…
I’ve installed TuneUp Utilites 2011 because I’ve used the program before and it really worked to make my windows become stable again.
There a feature called Tuneup 1-click maintenance. I used it and it also defrag 2 of my partition.
I only use one SATA maxtor HDD which the size is 1 terabyte.
I’ve split it into 3 partitions. C, D, E and windows also create a swap partition which is F (only about 10mb if i’m not mistaken)
C drive is about 300GB – My system, Windows 7 Ultimate
D drive is about 200GB – Specially made for temporary backup or whatsoever, and also for my works
E drive is about 500GB – Contain around 500GB of games+apps+music+music video+etc. The most valuable thing here for me games and apps which already around 350GB
F drive – swap partition (well, something like that)
The problem now is that drive E and F is missing. It won’t show in my Windows Explorer after TuneUp 1click maintenance defrag 2 of the disk.
I hope you guys can come up with a solution which could bring back the partition to show in my Windows Explorer.
Or atleast use a program that could recognise the drive and then I can take all the apps, games, etc in the E Drive to backup in my external HDD and then format the partition so it would show up again…
I really hope I got a positive reply guys. Thank you!

try this … go to the start button ,open Control Panel
go to administrative tools –> computer management ->storage ->disk management hopefully ithe “missing” 2 logical drives will show there …. but without a drive letter , in which case just, right click on each and assign them as E and F

A couple of things you could try:
– Try using a data recovery software to look for your missing data
– Use a Linux live CD and see if your partition shows up in Linux

I’ve already tried the second one, but still, it won’t show up. That is the worst thing happen because before this (on my old pc) I tried using linux and yes, it show the missing partition.
for the first option, could you suggest me some good data recovery software?

hmmm…. maybe first try SYSTEM RESTORE .. then consider try CHKDSK , also have a look at http://www.ehow.com/how_6585291_repair-corrupt-master-file-table.html
next i’d try the Easy Recovery Pro program see our apps section http://www.google.com?t=6072723&highlight= be sure to install it on yr C drive and use the space available on yr C and D partitions to recover files … actually is better if u have a full 500 Gb drive space available … do not try to recover the files to yr E see how u go
