Heres my issue. I have my computer to view shared calendar of my wife’s calendar and if i set up a date at 7pm tonight and she responds as accepted. but the problem is that I’m not seeing it update on her calendar that her 7pm tonight is blocked…. please help! what do i need to do. My 2nd issue with this is when i tried to right-click my trash bin and empty it…it gives me this message…
“Outlook is synchronizing local changes made to items in this folder. You cannot remove this folder until the synchronization with the server is complete.”
Please help!

How did you setup the share initially? The method used (if I can recall there are at least 3 different ways of doing this) will determine what can be done by users of the shared calendar. One method for example, only allows people to see the calendar, but not do anything with it.

@,
So I don’t remember how I had it setup but its so weird because it was fine a few weeks ago and now it’s having that problem. I guess i wasn’t to clear but I will try my best to get you informed. So, On my computer I have view of my wife’s calender along with mine (side-by-side) normally when i create a meeting or so…after the person responds…it shows me and the meeting gets populated into my wife’s window after she accepts the meeting.

Hmmm… it sounds like a permissions issue and perhaps something happened with them with an update or good lord knows what. A share problem will also account for the trash issue you have as well.
Possibly the easiest way to figure out the solution will be to set up a new share (this won’t delete anything you already have). I have found that occasionally Outlook files get corrupted leaving no simple “fix”. Given that all was working a few weeks back, and assuming you didn’t change anything, this might be the cause. There is a great how-to at:

If that doesn’t appeal to you, then it’s time to check permissions.
If I recall, there is an option like “Request permission to view recipient’s calendar,” if you and the person would like to exchange calendars. Make sure that is checked.
