Password for a shared folder

August 5th, 2016

There’s a LAN in my work, there are a lot of users in it, but a group of us (8 coworkers) need to share files in private, so how can I set a password for a shared folder in a LAN?
Thanks

I don’t think it’s possible,You can however edit the permissions
of the shared folder so only certain users will be able
to access it,This can be done from the sharing>permissions
tab on the folder properties,Better set deny on reading to “Everyone”
or just delete it from the list.

Thanks, will try both suggestions
I kind of do it using this:

The only problem is that it asks for the password just for the first time, once a user gets into the folder and gets out, he can return to it without typing the pass (off course the option to remember the pass is off. Any way to avoid this? I’d like users to type the pass every time they get into the folder.
