Old Hard drive

January 22nd, 2020

I have this old hard drive that my neighbors upstairs gave us a couple years ago sitting in my closet. I never used it but I don’t want to just throw it away. What should I do with it, can I sell it? There is no keyboard that came with it or monitor.
If I can sell it do you think I should go on e-bay and sell it?

Answer #1
Do you mean an actual pc case with parts in it or a hard drive? i be confused.
Answer #2
if it boots run everest ultimate to ID the hardware
or get Hirens BootCD, boot from it and run the hardware ID software on that
post the
CPU
motherboard info
video card
speed & amount of memory
hard drive/s size
and that’s an “old computer” not an “old hard drive”
you connect a keyboard & monitor to a computer which contains the hard drive

Actually he’s talking about CPU box. I mean only cabinet with motherboard, processor, RAM, HDD, FDD, CD Drive in it. There’s no mouse, keyboard or monitor attached to it. So you can get old monitor and keyboard at cheap rates and make it working. You can also use that computer as your backup. Like said, run those tools and post the information here.
