No Direct Sound Input?

I’m running, Vista Home Premium SP1 (currently installing SP2)
And I’m trying to run Adobe Audition 3 but when i open it up, it says no directsound input, and after googling i found it was taken out of vista… so is there a way i can get it back? Thanks for your help!
