August 7th, 2016

ok this is the weirdest and most anoying problem i got
i start my PC, use it, then i go to download something,
l speeeds goes to 3MB/sec or bigger..but usually arround 2.5MB
problem is sometimes while download is finished the connection goes down.
can`t use firefox or anything
even pinging the routers Ip: 192.168.0.1 gives me time out

Answer #1
connected to the router by WiFi or ethernet?
Answer #2
ethernet..regular cable
Edit: router is Dlink DIR-100 Firmware Version : v1.12
Answer #3
try replacing the cable, check to see if the router is intermittently turning off and back on again. Might be overheating from the high activity, it shouldn’t do this so make sure the airflow around the router is good. The time out when you ing your router point to something internal (not your ISP). Failing this try re-install/updating your network card drivers, then your routers FW.
Answer #4
well router is fine cause my other roommates have no issues with it
this is what i see in error viewer on the pc
The value for the NwlnkIpx parameter Export was illegal.
The NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol service failed to start due to the following error: The parameter is incorrect. TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.
The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort1, did not respond within the timeout period.
dunno what the problem is
Answer #5
