Need help with German.

Hey.
I need help with German. All the verbs are in After Present. What I need to do is make the story in Past.
Text: Am Samstag will ich eine Party geben. Zwanzig Freunde d�rfen kommen, und nich mehr. Das will mutti nicht. Ich Muss selbst alles organisieren. Sabine will mir aber helfen. Wir M�ssen einkaufen. Zum Nachtisch wissen problem. Meine Scwester kann gute CDs kriegen. Die Musik ist kein Freund fragen. Er arbeitet im Sommer in einem Musikladen und darf alle CDs leihen.
I have translated to this:
Letzten Samstag hatte ich eine Party.
Es wurden nur 20 und nicht mehr.
Es schien nicht der Mutter.
Ich hatte sie alle zu organisieren.
Sabine wollte mir helfen.
Wir m�ssen den Kauf der W�ste. Wir wussten bereits, was wir kaufen sollten:
Eine Eisbombe.
Die Musik war nicht ein Problem.
Meine Schwester konnte sich einige gute CDs
Sie fragen nur, um seinen Freund
Er arbeite in einem Musikgesch�ft und in der Lage sein zu leihen alle CDs.

The text above doesn’t sound too god in German, so here is a slightly improved variant:
Am Sonnabend will ich eine Party geben, zu der leider nicht mehr als zwanzig Freunde kommen d�rfen weil Mutti das nicht will. Ich mu� alles selbst organisieren aber Sabine will mir (hat versprochen mir zu) helfen. Wir m�ssen einkaufen. “Zum Nachtisch wissen Problem” is incomprehensible and doesn’t make sense. Do you mean: the problem is that I don’t know what we should have for dessert? That would be: Das Problem ist da� ich nicht wei�, (we: wir nicht wissen), was es zum (als) Nachtisch geben soll. The following sentences aren’t understandable either when read as written, but guessing a little: Meine Schwester kann (luckily: zum Gl�ck) gute CDs bekommen und braucht daf�r nur ihren Freund zu fragen. Jener arbeitet in einem Musikladen (Musik-Gesch�ft, Plattenladen) und darf sich alle CDs ausleihen.. Below in your own translation attempts, it appears as if the dessert (from French for the sweet stuff after the main course, not desert — that’s why you received “W�ste” from the online translatoprs ) was not a problem, because you already knew that you were going to buy an ice bomb. This would be:

Am Sonnabend wollte ich eine Party geben, zu welcher leider nicht mehr als zwanzig Freunde kommen durften weil Mutti das (mehr) nicht wollte. Ich musste alles selbst organisieren aber meine Schwester hat mir geholfen. Since this is past tense, your sister either helped you or she did not, so �promised/wanted to help� doesn’t apply any more and was replaced by �has helped�. Wir mussten einkaufen aber das Problem war, dass wir nicht wussten, was es zum (als) Nachtisch geben sollte. Zum Gl�ck (= luckily) konnte meine Schwester gute CDs besorgen, weil sie dazu nur ihren Freund zu fragen braucht, welcher in einem Plattengesch�ft (Musikladen, Plattenladen) arbeitet und alle CDs ausleihen darf.
If you knew what you wanted for dessert, the respective sentence would change to: Wir mussten einkaufen, doch nicht einmal (= not even) der Nachtisch stellte ein Problem dar, denn wir wussten bereits, dass es eine Eisbombe geben sollte.
Note: the German � for words ending in a sharp ‘s’ in singular is nowadays often replaced by �ss�. Depending on the age of the writer, region or circumstances, you might encounter both versions. Your humble servant never uses the � but used them above so you know where to put them if necessary.
