Need help….missing folder.

I had a folder on my desk top and as I was dragging it to the other side of the screen I clicked on it by mistake and it DISAPPEARED!!!! I’ve looked in the recycle bim I’ve looked in every folder in the c drive and can’t find it. Is there any way of getting it back, it’s my TAXES for the last year and it took me about 4 hrs to complete. Any help would be great…………….

if you didnt delete it. search your whole pc for the folder.
if you deleted it, use Recuva to search and restore it.

try searching for any of the files that were in the folder, if result comes out then you’ll get the folder location

If you’re using tax prep software like TurboTax…etc, they usually have a save as you go auto function.
Try opening the program and open your return there. It should also give you the saved to location.

tried it all and no help..even System Restore and nothing… I think I’ll go out and have a couple of drinks and work on the papers on weekend. I have aqn external drive right next to me and never thought of backing it up..
