Need Help in a game that doesnt work

Hello
i hope i am in the right place,
i have installed Chessmaster and every time i tried too open it and play
but there a error:the procedure entry point RegisterApplicationRestart could not be located in the dynamic link library kernel32.dll
what can i do?

I would suggest you to try the steps mentioned below and check if it helps.
Try to run [System File Checker] SFC scan on the computer which would scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them.
