multiple computers same keyboard

January 27th, 2020

does anyone know of software which i can use to control both computers at the same time with one keyboard and mouse?
like i press enter in main pc, the enter will be pressed in the other pc same time.
thanks!

Answer #1
You could make one with a computer in remote control and one used directly. As far as I know there are no ready solutions and you need to know how to program.
Answer #2
pc remote control doesnt do that… its like teamviewer ish…
i need something that will check what i press, where i press. and then press that same button on another pc at same place.

Both at the same time, never going to happen, software solutions doubt it. There is a HARDWARE piece called a KVM switch (Keyboard Video Mouse), but those things used to be for ps/2 and vga connectors. Don’t know if they updated such devices to use all USB/HDMI ports which is now the standard

aha ok . thnx
Answer #5
and besides, KVM is pretty pricy … and no, it will not “press” the same button on several machines on one stroke , as a KVM is just another remote client … what you _COULD_ do :
record your key strokes with a macro and replay the macro on each computer , but that will have a delay as you will need to start the macro on each PC.
as for your initial question :
not going to happen , each pc has only one keyboard and mouse exclusively as they are serial and not parallel. And I havent found any KVM splitters either…nor heard of
Answer #6
actually a KVM is not a remote client. It’s as i said a hardware piece. It allows you to connect 2 computers (keyb connector, mouse connector and screen) and connect them with physical keyboard/mouse connected to the actual KVM switch. You just flip a switch to swap from 1 pc to the other.

hmmmm I may be wrong, but im quite sure the tech is out there.. How and why I say this is because of mulit boxing software for games.. This software allowed you to say run multiple copies of Diablo 3 or wow on 1 or more computers and what ever you typed or where ever you moved the mouse would do the same for each open game on the same keyboard and mouse.. It was mainly used for gold farmers, who would have multiple characters join the same game and run through the levels with all of them to maximize there gold profit.. I cant be bothered researching it for you, but id presume even though the programs are designed for games, they may be able to be used for general purposes (if you specifically need it for a game, multi botting is the term you can use for research.) (Also referred to as both the terms I used, Multi-botting or boxing..)
Answer #8
Multiboxing in Diablo 3 is fine ..But doing the keyboard/mouse thing is against the TOS and will get you banned..
Just an idea..Not sure if it works..2 identical wireless keyboards..Maybe connecting the usb wireless adapters to both PCs might work with 1 Keyboard..
Answer #9
Diablo 3 multi-box works as a macro program does. It just copy the input to other windows. not to other computers.
AC Tools for example.
you can record keys / mouse positions and every other user input and more… pauses.. if color X then do Y etc..
you can save it as a macro file and run it on another computer. if that is the sort of thing u’re up to.
